Heavens In The Middle - The Second Yom.

The Second Yom:

6.   The Powers said, “Let there be a raqiya in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters."
  
7.   So The Powers created the raqiya and divided the waters which were under the raqiya from the waters which were above the raqiya; and it was done; 

8.   and The Powers called the raqiya Heaven. This was the end of the Second Yom.

     SUMMARY

In most English Biblical translations it uses the words ‘Firmament’ or ‘vault’ in place of raqiya but the Hebrew word from the original texts is the noun form of the verb ‘raqa’ and literally means a ‘hammered out sheet’.
But it was the Hammered out sheet that was called ‘Heaven’ and not the atmosphere above our planet... as it goes on to show in the next Yom!
